Actor Miles Teller and his girlfriend, model Keleigh Sperry had quite the frightening experience, after getting into a auto accident the Divergent star described as "unavoidable", in a tweet.

The Whiplash actor, 29, was driving in the San Fernando Valley near L.A. on Thursday, December 22, with his girlfriend Keleigh Sperry in the passenger seat when an Uber driver made an unsafe left turn right in front of Teller.

According to TMZ, police say drugs or alcohol did not play a factor in the crash, and that the accident was not Teller's fault. "Happy we could walk away", he tweeted.

The site also noted the eerie connection that Teller's "Whiplash" and "Bleed for This" characters were also in vehicle accidents. He was not injured but enraged and got out of the truck screaming, "You f***** up my truck".

Maybe it was the withering reaction to his tone-deaf defense of Allen, whose "mistakes" come too often to be brushed off as that. With Allen sitting out the rest of the half, Elon went on an 11-2 run to lead 35-34 at the break though Duke prevailed 72-61.

This isn't the first vehicle accident for Miles; the Fantastic Four actor has spoken at length about a near-fatal accident he was involved in at the age of 20.

"My buddy thought I was dead".

The actor also sought out laser treatments for upwards of four years to improve the scarring - as they prevented him from getting acting roles early on in his career. "I still have two rocks in my face", he said.
