Sony unveils OLED Bravia 4K TV with Dolby Vision HDR

The company declined to identify the vendor of its OLED displays.

According to Panasonic, the new flat-screen OLED display is capable of around double the peak brightness of a typical OLED and is able to produce nearly the full DCI color space. Over the years, we've seen a lot of super-thin TVs that get wider at the bottom half to hold the television's processing and power hardware. By vibrating the display itself, Sony said it will be able to offer the "perfect unification of picture and sound unattainable by conventional TVs".

"LG has announced their 2017 line of TVs, and it's headlined by the W7 Signature - the flexible OLED panel is so thin (thinner than any smartphone), it can only be mounted (looks more like affixed) to the wall, and it's available in up to 77".

LG's entire fleet of 2017 OLED TVs will support the new Dolby Atmos 3D audio and Dolby Vision HDR specs, including the following models: 77/65W7, 77/65G7, 65/55E7, 65/55C7, and 65/55B7.

LG hasn't released any availability or pricing information - but for a TV of this quality, you'll have to cough up some serious dough.

West Ham vs. Manchester United 2017
The latter fared just as well, however, with another great run resulting in a chance for Pogba, who pulled his shot. Mourinho believes the 19-year-old has what it takes to become a major player for United in the years to come.

Nintendo Switch issue may stop gamers in their tracks
Now another rumor has made its way to the internet that reveals that Nintendo Switch resolution will be much higher than 1080p. More details about Nintendo's next big venture are expected to be revealed this January 13, 2017 during the Tokyo Webcast.

Taking the advantage of the OLED's backlight-less structure, Sony developed a new Acoustic Surface sound technology which can boom out the sound directly from the screen. With no visible speakers, the design is ultra minimalist. The new model, called the XBR-A1E Bravia series, may launch as early as this year in the European and American markets. Other features include the X-tended Dynamic Range PRO and the TRILUMINOS Display.

The screen of the 77-inch Sony OLED doubles up as its sound system.

The set will also work with Google Home, so that device can control the TV via voice, and like previous Sony sets it uses Android TV's operating system. The XE80 series loses the benefit of the 4K HDR Processor X1 and comes in 55-inch, 49-inch, and 43-inch sizes, but is otherwise like the XE80 family.

4 unveiled its lineup of 4K TVs for 2017, with two-dozen sets across three series.

Sony also announced a refresh of its X940E and X930E series displays, bringing faster performance and additional support for Dolby Vision and HDR outputs.
