Carpool Karaoke on Apple Music will feature far less James Corden

Addressing the elephant in the room at CBS' Carpool Karaoke panel at TCA today, EP Ben Winston said, "We're going to have 16 different hosts".

Carpool Karaoke is coming to Apple Music. Considering how much everyone loves him, we'd say there's great potential there too.

James Corden also said that he doesn't feel as though he's giving up the segment, despite the fact that it is moving beyond "The Late Late Show".

Alicia Keys will be matched with John Legend, Ariana Grande will perform with Family Guy's Seth MacFarlane, Blake Shelton is paired with Chelsea Handler and comedian Billy Eichner will perform with Metallica.

Each episode will have a different host, with Corden set to make an appearance with actor Will Smith.

Last year, Apple CEO Tim Cook appeared on a special addition of Carpool Karaoke before an Apple product reveal.

The new model, called the XBR-A1E Bravia series, may launch as early as this year in the European and American markets. Other features include the X-tended Dynamic Range PRO and the TRILUMINOS Display.

But what does this mean for the famed bit on The Late Late Show?

The 16-episode show will feature rotating hosts and more out-of-car action than Corden's bit, he and his fellow producers tells TV critics gathered in Pasadena for the winter press tour.

Adele joined James Corden for Carpool Karaoke on "The Late Late Show" in January 2016. "We've done 300 shows and we've done it, what, 23 times?" "This just became a wonderful platform to see these people in an intimate environment", said Corden. "Someone was courageous enough, Mariah Carey said yes, and other people said yes, and before you know it hundreds of millions of people saw it", and more singers eagerly followed Corden into the auto.

The Apple Music series, which will help underpin Cupertino's original content line-up for its music streaming service, is yet to receive a premiere date.

Last July, CBS announced that it would spin off Carpool Karaoke as its own series on Apple Music, which gives subscribers access to more than 30 million songs and costs $9.99 per month.

Winston had initially been dismissive of efforts to spin off Carpool Karaoke, as The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon had done with Lip Sync Battle on Spike.
