Fifty Shades Darker Reviews: Surprise, It's awful!

The first problem, of many, with Fifty Shades Darker, is that the script and story are completely unimpressive.

"I knew there were rabid attention around these books and franchise going into it, but until you see it firsthand and see the frenzied look on their faces, you don't really believe it", Dornan said.

"There are moments in Fifty Shades Darker when you might care more about Anastasia Steele's lipstick shade than her tortured romance with cold billionaire Christian Grey".

The New York Daily News' Stephen Whitty writes, "Fifty Shades Darker is about an otherwise sensible person who willingly subjects herself to needless pain and humiliation". The movie picked up a little after their breakup, although the audience is unsure how much time has actually passed.

In part, that could be because Fifty Shades of Grey director-writer team Sam Taylor-Johnson and Kelly Marcel didn't stay for the sequel and have been replaced by men (the script for the equel was penned by E.L. James's husband). Still, it was enjoyable enough due to its Abercrombie model-like cast, catchy soundtrack, and hilariously bad dialogue to make even the most skeptical female viewers put aside the criticism for a few hours of pure entertainment.

Perhaps there's a world where Fifty Shades Darker could be a better movie. Plus every time she is at work, she's texting Christian really abrupt messages with lots of full stops and no kisses...priorities babes.

Trudeau to meet Trump in Washington on Monday
Following her two-day visit that ended Wednesday, Freeland said Canada would retaliate if any new tariffs are imposed. Both Tillerson and Videgaray said they would keep working on solutions to their public "differences", it added.

Pat Toomey, sought by constituents, 'big fan of Betsy DeVos'
She has drawn the fire of teachers unions for her advocacy for charter schools and taxpayer-funded vouchers for private education. A Senate committee forwarded DeVos to the full body for confirmation Tuesday (Feb. 1).

A Christian and consent campaigner Christine Woolgar said: "The book and film are not about consent, not about redemption and not a fairy tale". Later, he goes down on her again, to her obvious delight.

Thank goodness movie critics are out there to spot the sexism for those not able to see it... In Fifty Shades Darker she has to contend with several obstacles. Christian smiles more throughout the movie, making him seem less intense and therefore softer on the eyes. The moniker Mrs. Robinson came from Ana when she found out the duo had a relationship back then.

Movie reviewer Richard Wilkins on morning TV TODAY Show on Australia's Nine Network fumed: "It's glorification of domestic violence".

Other publications who didn't quite consider the film a masterpiece included The Guardian, The Telegraph and The New Yorker.

"Fifty Shades Darker is further normalising abuse and we are seeking to peacefully protest its messages and educate people about abusive behaviour".
