Ultra Street Fighter 2 for Switch to Have a First-Person Mode

As spotted by some eagle-eyed fans in the Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers reveal trailer, the new Switch exclusive version of Capcom's legendary versus brawler includes a first-person mode. But as we've seen with ARMS, Nintendo's new Switch console is a ideal platform for engaging first-person fighting experiences, and now Capcom's latest Ultra Street Fighter II will be the next in line to tap the JoyCons' potential. "The Final Challengers" is an upcoming fighting game developed by Capcom for the Nintendo Switch platform. The confirmation comes from the box art, itself.

One of the major concerns surrounding Ultra Street Fighter II, however, is whether gamers will be able to properly play the game on the Nintendo Switch, considering that the Joy-Con controllers do not feature directional pads and instead have analog sticks. It might be fun to pair up with your friends online and duke it out in weird first-person mode throwing punches and fireballs. "HaDOken", that appears to be a time-based, combo-scored battle against Shadaloo soldiers.

The box (via Nintendo Everything) shows a screenshot with a the player in first-person fighter off a bunch of Shadaloo soldiers, with a timer at the top of the screen.

Finally, MT Framework engine's logo is on the box.

Currently, Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Chapter is still without a release date.
