Knicks lift ban on Charles Oakley, but he wants apology

Rev. Sharpton is calling upon Mr. Dolan to lift the ban and reinstate Mr. Oakley's privileges.

The ban on Charles Barkley from Madison Square Garden has been lifted, the Associated Press is reporting the day after a meeting that included the beloved former New York Knicks player, team owner James Dolan, all-time National Basketball Association great Michael Jordan and league Commissioner Adam Silver.

Charles Oakley's lifetime ban from Madison Square Garden lasted four days.

But NBA commissioner Adam Silver met with Oakley and Dolan Monday, with Hornets owner Michael Jordan taking part on a conference call. During the interview, Oakley said that the immediate resolution to resolve the feud would be hard between him and James Dolan. "I'm just supporting the fantastic work Jayson is doing".

Meanwhile, Warriors All-Star enforcer Draymond Green went on the attack Wednesday, saying Dolan displayed a "slave mentality" in handling the Oakley crisis. So, if it wasn't a problem then, when he was doing it for y'all, why is it all of a sudden now when he's speaking out on something he don't like? There were no alcohol-related charges issued.

NBA Commissioner Adam Silver said that it is very disheartening to see such situations that occurred at the Madison Square Garden that involves members of the NBA members particularly James Dolan and Charles Oakley.

Oakley will surely return to the Garden at some point, but it will be on his terms.

"There was an offer extended evidently ... and Oakley didn't accept it because he's still hurt", Francesa said.

"Both Mr. Oakley and Mr. Dolan were apologetic about the incident and subsequent comments, and their negative impact on the Knicks organization and the NBA", Silver said. I said this to you guys before, it takes special people to deal with.

"As an organization, can you come out and say, 'We hope he get help?' Get help with what?" "It's not OK for you to go say to the world as a multibillion-dollar organization". How can you even pin that on someone?. Just throw that out there.

"I think Charles' number should be in the rafters", Van Gundy told the Daily News.
