Kerala cops moral police couple, get recorded on Facebook Live

"The police can not ignore such calls, therefore they reach the place and after reaching the place they must act according to law with all politeness". To this, they replied: "We are not trying to punish you; we would like to inform your parents". The incident has gone viral on social media with the youth posting the video of the incident live on Facebook.

The youngsters were questioned by the police Tuesday for sitting "indecently" at the museum park.

"In our country we impose self-restrain on Public Display of Affection (PDA) due to our culture and tradition", writes the chief, "though there is no legal ban for PDA". The couple recorded their interaction with the police officials on Facebook live.

"I am pained to learn the complaint (though I have not received), about some police personnel (Vanitha Police), who reportedly misbehaved with a couple in the premises of the Museum, Thiruvananthapuram yesterday (21.02.2017). So I was forced to go live on Facebook". When the issue came in the limelight the police came out with an explanation saying that they intervened when locals complained that they were indulging in indecent behaviour. "We are going to marry soon anyway so that we could take them on".

Explaining why they decided to make the matter public, Vishnu said: "Right from the start they were accusing us of being vulgar".

Meanwhile when Evartha reached out to the Museum SHO Sunil, he said that the duo was brought to the station as they thwarted the duty of police.
