Destiny 2 Teaser Trailer Released, Full Reveal Set for March 30th

Leaked promotional materials point to a September 8 release date following an exclusive beta on PS4.

Following the release of the "Destiny 2" teaser trailer, its worldwide full reveal trailer will follow on Thursday, March 30. The developer posted an image online showing the Last City of Earth in ruins and on fire.

The first Destiny game was criticized for its overly serious tone and confusing story (that is, when the plot existed at all).

Destiny 2 is, unsurprisingly, real.

This could imply that we might see a more accessible entry in what Activision Blizzard deems as a new franchise. It hasn't been decided if players will be able to transfer over their characters from the first game.

The Verge further speculates that Bungie will provide more information about the game at this year's E3 in June, seeing as little information is given in the official announcement.

A receipt from a video game retailer in Germany may suggest that Bungie fans can pre-order "Destiny 2" for the PC. After the official announcement, the teaser trailer comes in, though it does not show anything about the details of the game.

Actor Nathan Fillion has lent his talents to a amusing short promoting the sequel to Bungie's online multiplayer shooter, Destiny 2, underlining the marketing spend the new entry has. If true, presumably fans could expect to see the Nathan Fillion-voiced character return in Destiny 2. With today being the last update to the now 3-year old Destiny you would think that you would have to wonder what's next. Guess who got the spotlight in the first teaser trailer for Destiny 2? Some have already speculated that the new title may take place on the planet Mars or tackle the story of the much-talked Taken King.

The PlayStation 4 users will also get an exclusive access of "Destiny 2" that will lock to Sony's console until 2018.

Destiny 2 still does not have an exact release date, but it is planned to arrive within this year.
