Lenovo-owned Motorola Mobility today launched Moto G5 smartphone in India at an event in New Delhi. The Moto G5 comes in Lunar Gray and Fine Gold color variants, and it is priced at Rs. 11,999 ($185) in India. It also throws an official-looking press render of the upcoming Moto X into the mix. In layman's terms, the Moto G5 Plus is supposed to focus quickly with minimum shutter lag and also it is supposed to excel in low light photography, in comparison to rival phones in and around its price category.

With the price of Rs. 11,999 (only 3 GB going on sale tonight), Moto G5 will directly compete with the likes of Honor 6X and Redmi Note 4.

With Moto's new phones now available in the market, the 2017 Q2 battle between them and competitors such as Xiaomi, Vivo and Oppo will be keenly watched. Being smaller in size, the G5's 5-inch display offers 441 ppi translating into more crisp images. If you are HDFC Bank customer you get Rs.1000 additional cash back on your credit card on the purchase of Moto G5.

As far as the design is concerned, the Moto G5 doesn't look anything like last year's Moto G4.
