Young Shadab selected for test series against West Indies

Pakistan Test captain Misbah-ul-Haq will quit worldwide cricket after the three-Test series in West Indies starting later this month, the 42-year-old announced on Thursday.

Misbah-ul-Haq was named captain, as expected, for the three Tests in the West Indies starting on April 21 in Kingston, Jamaica.

Misbah-ul-Haq will quit worldwide cricket after the three-Test series in West Indies starting later this month.

"There was no pressure on me".

"I'm happy that the hard work I've been putting in off the field is transcending itself on the field but to me personally, I always prefer team performances and if I can contribute to a win then so be it", Brathwaite said. He transformed the Pakistan test team into world-beaters, especially on slow wickets in the United Arab Emirates, which has been Pakistan's "home" venue since 2009.

After Pakistan slipped to a 3-0 series defeat in Australia, there were speculations that Misbah would hang up his boots, but the 42-year-old made a decision to play the three-match Test rubber against West Indies.

"I had a dream of winning the World Cup for Pakistan, but then I also had a dream of captain the team in Pakistan".

Pep Guardiola hopeful Manchester City starlet Gabriel Jesus will return this season
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola admitted it was frustrating for his side not to take full advantage of Chelsea's loss on Saturday.

"I will continue to play cricket at the domestic level", he added.

"The upcoming series against West Indies will be my last".

The 42-year-old has been struggling for form and in the last five Tests this year, Misbah has managed just 177 runs at an average of 17.7.

Singling out Shadab's contribution in the series win, the former South African cricketer said the leg-spinner is an extremely talented player who is getting better with each passing day.

Now his outstanding entrance to global cricket has been rewarded with a spot in the 16-player squad to meet the Windies in the three-Test series starting on April 21 in Kingston.

Looking in good spirits despite the loss in the T20 series, the players were rushed off to the team hotel and included on the bus was Gabriel. "I enjoyed it a lot and I am very satisfied with whatever I did for Pakistan". "You don't get everything you ask for". "I wish Misbah scores 100 in every match of the series against West Indies", he said and hoped that Misbah retires on a high note. Under his able leadership, Pakistan climbed to No. 1 spot for the first time in the Test rankings after beating England at The Oval in 2016.

Holder and his men, along with their Pakistani opponents, arrived in Guyana at the Cheddi Jagan International Airport Monday afternoon ahead of their three matches to be played in Guyana. "Other cricket board have all sent us letters praising the team's behavior and his leadership", Khan said.
