Dodge Challenger SRT Demon to Debut at 2017 New York Auto Show

The spark can take longer to ignite the fuel if there are less concerns of it detonating early, which is called engine knock and can seriously damage an engine's internal components.

You'll have to do a little work on the auto to get the benefit, and the highest horsepower, though just how many more horses the Demon will produce over the Dodge Challenger Hellcat's 707 has not been revealed.

The higher a fuel's octane number, the more compression it can withstand without detonating.

Challenger SRT Demons will roll off the assembly line with a powertrain control module configured for 91-octane premium unleaded gasoline. The mode is accessed by using a separate engine computer found in the massive Demon Crate, along with a simple button on the console. The video clip themed Fuel & Fire suggests that the engine can come with a tuning that is ideal for higher octane fuels thus promising even greater power figures. If the weekly teases are to be referred to, the Demon seems likely to run on a V8 engine that can develop more than 800hp.

Gambler tied to Phil Mickelson convicted of insider trading
Davis, who was Walters's friend, business partner and golfing pal of more than 20 years, was the government's star witness. Securities and Exchange Commission said he made by trading in Dean Foods stock.

To prepare the Demon to utilize this high-octane fuel variety, drivers will have to use separately-shipped Direct Connection Performance parts.

To help the Demon guzzle gas like a beer-swilling sailor on shore leave, Dodge will include two fuel pumps instead of the one used by Hellcat, as well as larger fuel injectors with higher rail pressure.

The 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will be the first vehicle made by company that will have the design that will be feasible for both track and road.

But that doesn't mean we're out of the teaser woods just yet.
