Trump gave Syria attack order 'during dessert' with Xi Jinping

"And we made a determination to do it, so the missiles were on the way".

President Trump launched a USA airstrike on a Syrian airfield late Thursday night in response to the Syrian government initiating a deadly chemical weapons attack on its people.

"The president said he was sitting at the table with Xi and had just finished dinner".

"We've just fired 59 missiles -all of which hit by the way- unbelievable from 100s of miles away".

Just five days after taking office, over dinner with his newly installed secretary of defense and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, President Trump was presented with the first of what will be many life-or-death decisions...

Trump said he then explained the situation to President Xi, as he did not want the foreign leader to hear about the launch from someone else. In other parts of the interview, she fails to question Trump when he boasts of creating jobs that were announced before he came to office, and seems to agree that his Supreme Court pick was "outstanding".

Venezuela's Maduro blasts foe for chemical attack comments
Discontent with Maduro's policies is at an all-time high as Venezuela battles a dramatic economic and humanitarian crisis. A march against the ban of a top opposition official turned violent, as police confronted the demonstrators.

He said seeing the chemical attack prompted him to say, "we have to do something".

Trump recounted how he told Xi that the military had just struck a Syrian government air base with 59 cruise missiles after Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo asked him to describe the interaction in an interview that aired Wednesday morning. "We're now having dessert-and we had the most attractive piece of chocolate cake that you've ever seen-and President Xi was enjoying it".

"It's so incredible. It's brilliant", Trump agreed.

"Yes, heading towards Syria", he corrects himself.

The President said the discussion occurred over the "most handsome piece of chocolate cake that you've ever seen". And then he asked the intrepreter to please say it again. "It was a full day in Palm Beach". He said to me, 'Anybody that uses gases to do that to young children and babies, it's OK. "I think Syria would be a lot better off right now than it has been". He also wants you to know - incorrectly - that he bombed Iraq.
