Trump announces plans to soon visit Egypt

Egypt's President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi arrived in Saudi capital Riyadh Saturday on a two-day visit to participate in the Arab Islamic American Summit with US President Donald Trump Sunday, Ahram written.

Trump said in the meeting that he would visit Egypt, adding the nation to his schedule soon.

Responding through an interpreter, Sisi said: "Egypt is secure and stable and is going very well with the cooperation of the United States".

Trump will hold talks with the leadership of Saudi Arabia during the Saudi-US Summit.

Sisi plans bilateral meetings with Arab presidents on the sidelines of the summit on a number of issues including counter terrorism efforts, and the situations in Libya, Syria, Yemen, Iraq and Palestine.

Trump has said little publicly about human rights under Sisi, but White House aides say behind-the-scenes talks have yielded results better than those achieved by Obama.
