President Trump says meeting with Pope Francis was 'honor'

Pope Francis (R) poses with US President Donald Trump (C), US First Lady Melania Trump and the daughter of US President Donald Trump Ivanka Trump (L) at the end of a private audience at the Vatican on May 24, 2017. "If and when the Vatican is attacked by ISIS, which as everyone knows is ISIS' ultimate trophy, I can promise you that the pope would have only wished and prayed that Donald Trump would have been president", he continued.

After meeting the Pope, Trump tweeted Honor of a lifetime to meet His Holiness Pope Francis.

He is scheduled to attend a G7 meeting in Sicily, Italy, after he meets the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and European Union leadership in Belgium.

Later in the day, Trump will meet with top Italian officials. "A Christian would never say 'you will pay for that.' Never".

Melania abstained from wearing the traditional headscarf during her visit to the capital of Saudi Arabia, Indy 100 reported. And the pope just - can you imagine? The meeting came a year after the pope suggested that Trump "is not Christian" because of his plan for a U.S-Mexico border wall.

Trump replied that a religious leader capable of voicing such sentiments was "disgraceful". "I just got a call, as I'm walking up here", Trump said in a campaign stop in SC.

"I think they may be a little less different than we think", said Joseph Capizzi, a professor of moral theology at the Catholic University of America.

The demonstrators centred their protests on President Trump's environmental and immigration policies.

Ducks defeat Predators 3-2 in overtime
They saw two goals waved off in eight seconds, shortly after Forsberg's equalizer at 3:55 of the third period made it 1-1. I know they struggled a little bit in the post-season prior to our series, but they are a terrific penalty killing team.

The Vault Which Stores The World's Seeds For The Apocalypse Just Flooded
What happens is, in the summer the permafrost melts, and some water comes in, and when it comes in, it freezes. The breach of what was meant to be a secure place for plant seeds is a worrying sign for the vault operators.

Ford cuts 1400 jobs, 10 pct of white-collar work force
The statement added that the company has not announced new people efficiency action nor does it comment on any speculation. Investors expressed concern that United States sales are peaking and Ford's market share is slipping.

Asked how Trump responded to Cardinal Parolin's encouragement to stick with the Paris climate agreement, Tillerson said: "The president indicated we're still thinking about that, that he hasn't made a final decision". Based on photographic evidence, accounts of the meeting, past Facebook beefing, and basic theological knowledge, the Pope was not super happy to be meeting with Donald J. Trump and co.

Following the meeting, which was behind closed doors, the pontiff gifted Trump a medal by a Roman artist depicting an olive - a symbol of peace - as well as a signed message of peace and copies of his three main teaching documents.

Perhaps we can discern a bit more about the meeting from the gifts that they exchanged. The female Trumps aren't smiling; you could call their look "serious".

"Well, I'll be reading them", Trump said.

Today, Trump presented the pontiff with a large, boxed collection of Martin Luther King Jr.'s writings - five custom-bound books the USA civil rights leader wrote during his lifetime: Stride Toward Freedom (1958), The Measure of a Man (1959), The Strength to Love (1963), Why We Can't Wait (1964) and Where Do We Go from Here: Chaos or Community?

Francis then gave Trump several books, including a book on the environment that he said he gives to all Catholics on family, the gospel and "care of our common home, the environment".

In a lighter moment, Francis referred to Trump's imposing bulk by asking his wife Melania, "What do you feed him on?"
