Venus accidentally reveals the gender of Serena's baby

Serena Williams' pregnancy has been one of the most talked about entertainment news stories of the year and now, fans are learning the sex of the tennis professional's baby - all thanks to her older sister, Venus.

Her sister, Venus, spilled the beans during a short interview with Eurosport saying: "I want to be known as the favourite aunt" at the French Open in Stade Roland-Garros, Paris, France.

Venus, who made her debut here in 1997 and was runner-up to Serena in 2002, next faces Kurumi Nara, who beat 15-year-old American Amanda Anisimova 3-6, 7-5, 6-4.

Without Serena, the BookMaker odds to win the French Open 2017 for any USA player belong to Venus Williams at +3000.

Williams, who is seeded 10th, saved two set points in her 6-4 7-6 (7-3) victory.

Serena, who won her 23rd Grand Slam title in January when she defeated Venus in the Australian Open final, is due to give birth in September, the month she turns 36. "What other players are doing, I have got to be honest, I don't watch so closely".

"The first round is always tricky", Williams said. Once I started I fell in love with the concept of fueling your body in the best way possible.
