Rainy Tuesday evening likely for the Harrisburg area

A cold front will stall to our south tonight. Drier high pressure will then build over the southeast into next weekend.

It will be significantly cooler on Thursday with highs dropping to the mid 70's and staying there through Saturday. Overnight, there is a slight chance of showers.

Tuesday highs cooler in the middle 60's. Expect northeast winds at 10 to 20 miles per hour and gusts to near 25 miles per hour possible. Best chances for rain will be for our northern and western areas.

Wednesday morning begins with quite a bit of sunshine, but will give way to mostly cloudy skies by the afternoon.

After a handsome day, we end it with a few showers and perhaps a pop up thunderstorm or two. Northwest wind 8 to 16 miles per hour. An occasional shower remains possible though the evening, with a decreasing threat of rain Tuesday night. Clouds will build in tonight with lows in the mid 60s.

The chance of showers will linger in the Wyoming Valley, but the chance of rain will lessen as the week rolls along.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to move through the county early this week as the chance for rain dwindles closer to the weekend.
