Bangladesh stun New Zealand in CT17 must-win

But when the two settled they hit a combined of 19 fours and 3 huge sixes.

Chasing a target of 267 runs in a must-win clash, Bangladesh made what could be described as a worst start to their innings as they lost their first four wickets-Tamim Iqbal (0), Soumya Sarkar (three), Sabbir Rahman (eight), Mushfiqur Rahim (14)- inside 33 runs. A defeat would leave them bottom of the group and out of the competition, whilst a victory would ensure qualification if England beat Australia in the final group game.

So far the Host England is the only team which has qualified for Semi Finals and if it beats Australia tomorrow, Bangladesh will join England; otherwise Australia will go through from group A.

Guptill's departure, lbw to Rubel Hossain, brought Kane Williamson (57) and Ross Taylor (63) together for an 83-run partnership that ticked over at just under five-an-over.

Pacer Taskin Ahmed, with 2-43, removed Taylor, but it was offspinner Mosaddek Hossain, who had only one wicket in his last five one-day internationals, who did the most damage.

4 Consecutive scores of 50 or more for Kane Williamson in the Champions Trophy - the most by any player. Earlier, New Zealand was in good shape with Williamson and Ross Taylor. Yet a patient 87 from 103 balls was abruptly ended when Williamson was needlessly run out after a breakdown in communication.

The partnership saw its century in 107 balls before the 200 came in 204 balls, recording Bangladesh's first double century stand in ODIs.

The victor would have to wait on the outcome of Saturday's clash between England and Australia to determine whether a semi-final spot had been secured.

French crew in first America's Cup win, USA beaten
Land Rover BAR had a bad mark rounding halfway through the race and Groupama Team France went flying past and won by 53 seconds. Artemis also was penalized for being over the start line early. "It is just a shame we couldn't repay them in the races today".

US crude stockpiles slump as refining surges to record high
US crude production has also continued to increase, rising to 9.34 million bbl/d, up almost 500,000 bbl/d from a year-ago. That has kept prices under pressure, rather than raising them, as OPEC hoped.

It would not go into operational details but said the U.S. forces were helping at the request of the Philippine government. Also on Friday, the Philippine military asked Facebook to close dozens of accounts linked to fighters in Marawi City.

New Zealand have a run rate of just 6.20 in the last ten overs, which is the lowest among all teams in that phase in this tournament.

However, seasonal campaigners Shakib-al Hasan and Mahmudullah scored two exceptional hundreds to guide Bangladesh to a beautifully-constructed chase. Buoyed by a vocal crowd the left-hand/right-hand combination kept the New Zealanders on alert throughout.

Martin Guptill fell when the score was 69.

New Zealand will take on Bangladesh in their final group stage match at Sophia Gardens in Cardiff on Friday.

Earlier, a wet outfield due to heavy overnight rain and showers scudding across the ground this morning delayed the start of the play.

The winning moment came when Mosaddek Hossain, Bangladesh's hero with the ball, flashed a boundary through third man off Milne. This win was only made possible by two star players Shakib Al Hasan and Mahmudullah, with both scoring a wonderful ton each. The much expected batsman Corey Anderson, got out for a duck.

It all leaves Bangladesh and New Zealand needing to win in Wales and then hope England put one over their arch-rivals, assuming more bad weather does not disrupt those calculations.

"Today it is one partnership and we are going home". "If we want to repeat the result again, we have to execute well".
