Cavs racing against the free agency clock to trade for Paul George?

Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical is reporting that the Celtics are "pursuing an aggressive summer plan" that involves them signing Gordon Hayward as a free agent and trading for Paul George. Boston has contingencies in place to make deals and start a possible Hayward-George scenario toward fruition, league sources told The Vertical.

For Cleveland fans, the most interesting part of Woj's report was a look into how the Pacers are "focused" on getting a deal done with Boston. They would need to shed some salaries.

Sources: Cavs talked 3-way trade involving Paul George, Kevin Love: Sources told ESPN that the Cavaliers engaged in serious three-way trade discussions leading up to the National Basketball Association draft on a deal that would have brought them George from the Indiana Pacers and landed Kevin Love, George's fellow Eastern Conference All-Star, with the Denver Nuggets. Staying healthy always has been a concern for the Clippers forward, and he hasn't played 80 or more games in a single season since 2013-14. The two sides were getting close to a deal on draft night but they were unable to get a third team sufficiently involved to reach an agreement. The Jazz are working to upgrade the roster, including point guard, before July 1 when Hayward will start taking meetings with Boston and Miami in free agency, league sources said. However, the draft came and went without a Paul George trade coming to fruition. But what Boston can offer the Pacers is young players paired with future draft picks which is something IN desperately needs. And, according to The Vertical, the Pacers might not wait until Saturday to strike a deal for George.

Cuban foreign minister: 'We have the patience' to wait out Trump
The foreign minister made it clear that the USA citizens who committed crimes in Cuba, like hijacking planes, were sentenced by Cuban courts and served lengthy prison sentences.

The Boston Celtics don't care about those plans.

Several teams are eyeing the services of George but they are wary that he might leave after one season, exercising the player option in his contract.
