Kree-Skrull War Confirmed For Captain Marvel Movie

So far, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has enjoyed a tight continuity (and contemporary focus) after the 1940s setting of 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige also confirmed that Nick Fury is going to have a presence in the film - with both eyes still intact.

We now know that Captain Marvel will act as a prequel to the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, taking place during the '90s. Though Marvel hasn't sent official stills yet, several Hall H audience members shared photos from inside the convention.

In 1990 a federal court ruled that it was "obscene" and made it illegal for record stores in southern Florida to sell the album. Famously, the group's 1989 album As Nasty As They Wanna Be became the first album to be declared legally obscene by a court.

Conflicting Reports Surround Mike Williams' Need for Season-Ending Back Surgery
Williams was diagnosed with a herniated disk after his first practice during rookie minicamp and did not practice again. The Chargers selected Williams out of Clemson with the seventh overall pick in the 2017 National Football League draft.

Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson in the titular role. We've known for a while that Fox and Marvel co-own the shapeshifting alien race, but they've yet to appear in a film. The Skrulls are shapeshifters, after all, and there was an entire Marvel Comics event titled Secret Invasion that revealed Skrulls had secretly infiltrated the ranks of Earth's most powerful organizations, including SHIELD and Earth's superhero community, years earlier. Though their inclusion in the film probably doesn't mean we're going to get a Fantastic Four movie led by Disney/Marvel any time soon, it does hint at some broader crossover for the alien shape-shifters in the MCU. That all changed during the Marvel panel as Feige revealed that the movie will in fact not slot into the current Marvel timeline, but will in fact be set during the 1990s.

Finally, the studio also unveiled some new pieces of concept art which give us our first look - if not a particularly clear one - at the outfit Brie Larson will wear as Carol Danvers. The story saw the original Captain Marvel, Mar-Vell, and the Avengers defending the Earth as it was almost drawn into the long-ongoing war between the Skrull and Kree Empires.
