Geoffrey Kondogbia scores the GREATEST own goal of all time against Chelsea

Inter were firmly in control until an fantastic own goal gifted Chelsea a way back into the match in the 74th minute when Geoffrey Kondogbia inexplicably lofted an overhit back pass over Daniele Padelli from near the halfway line.

It's the 2nd loss in a row for Chelsea in pre-season and Antonio Conte is not a happy man.

A goal in each half from Serbian striker Stevan Jovetic and Croatia's Ivan Perisic, put Inter 2-0 up before an unbelievable own goal by French midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia from about 40 yards reduced the deficit for Chelsea.

New signing, Alvaro Morata, made his first start for the Blues in the match.

There was more poor officiating after the break as Jovetic had a goal wrongly ruled out for offside, but Inter got their second as Perisic's fierce effort from the left of the penalty area found the bottom corner past Courtois. "Two years ago Chelsea finished 10th and that can not happen again", Conte told reporters. "He is working very well and today he tried his best but he still has plenty of improving to do".

Inter dominated the early stages.

Inter star Antonio Candreva is being linked with a move to Chelsea but Inter boss Luciano Spalletti has claimed no offers have been made so far.

With the game going a bit flat, the English champions grew into their own. Jovetic had his penalty saved by Courtois but tapped in the follow up right at the end of the first half to give Inter the lead.

Chelsea fans were quick to point the finger at Conte afterwards, with Morata used out of position on the left-hand side of Chelsea's attack, allowing Michy Batshuayi to occupy the central striker role.

After Perisic's second, Inter almost made it 3-0 as he squared to substitute Joao Mario, only for the midfielder to shoot straight at Courtois.

It was a second defeat on the spin after losing 3-2 to Bayern Munich in Singapore.
