LG V30 Release Details Firm Up

Looks like the feature that makes the phone series unique will now be absent.

When the LG V30 is revealed later this month (hopefully), the expectation is that it will offer a secondary display, just like it's predecessor, the LG V20.

OLED panels, which are commonly used in curved televisions, allows the device's display to also be slightly curved.

As with the bezels, LG V30 will provide a greater reduction of bezels compared to the G6. LG has reduced the bezel in V30 by 20 and 50 percent at the top and bottom.

Geoffrey Kondogbia scores the GREATEST own goal of all time against Chelsea
Jovetic had his penalty saved by Courtois but tapped in the follow up right at the end of the first half to give Inter the lead. It's the 2nd loss in a row for Chelsea in pre-season and Antonio Conte is not a happy man.

Daniel Ricciardo hopes for pole fight after topping Friday sessions

Pole detained over abduction of British model in Italy
Police found a small bedroom at the property, but it is unclear whether it was used by the model or the kidnapper. A British model was abducted in Milan and put up for auction online after being lured to a sham photoshoot.

LG is expected to take the wraps off its latest flagship during the IFA Berlin trade show scheduled for September this year.

Commenting on the impending launch, LG Electronics Mobile Communications President Juno Cho said, "Expertise in OLED has long been a core competency of LG, and the technology has always been seen as a potential value-add for smartphones". LG also stated the OLED panel will be HDR10 compatible and will be able to project 109 percent and 148 percent of the DCI-P3 and sRGB color space respectively. And the previously leaked specifications suggest that this device would get a 6-inch Q+HD display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The V20, on the other hand, which was launched previous year introduced the first 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC.

Plus, it's also shifted its logo to the rear of the handset to free up more screen space.

In addition to that, the V30 camera will come with a new LG-Log and Graphy functionalities, both offering professional, manual video controls to enthusiasts. In addition to their slim profile and excellent visuals, OLED displays are ideal for VR applications on smartphones, LG said. The panel itself will be quite strong, thanks to the use of stronger plastic substrate instead of a glass base on traditional OLED panels. The phone's screen will come with Gorilla Glass 5 protection. Nonetheless, according to GSM Arena, the LG V30 will be powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 processor, Adreno 540 GPU, a 4GB of RAM and a 64GB of internal storage.
