Firing Mueller not mulled

Firing Mueller not mulled

Tillis said Mueller should be allowed to complete his investigation and have a "definitive answer" on Russia's influence. "The entire Russian Federation investigation is a hypothetical".

It's expanding, both in size and scope.

Mueller was appointed in May to oversee the probe into Russia's attempts to interfere with the 2016 election, including whether the Trump campaign colluded with the country. "We don't know that the president knew about those e-mails or about the content of those e-mails".

A grand jury gives prosecutors the ability to subpoena documents and gather on-the-record witness testimonies.

The president also warned Mueller to stay within certain boundaries as he investigates.

"Is it possible that all of these events and reports are completely unrelated and nothing more than an entirely unhappy coincidence?" -Democrat bickering that has filled many TV hours.

Grand juries are common vehicles to gather evidence, though they do not suggest any criminal charges are near or will necessarily be sought.

Pressed on the issue further, Conway said Trump had "not even discussed" firing Mueller and was cooperating with the investigation.

"He plans on being a two-term president", Conway said, adding: "Republican consultants and people trying to play the parlor game".

It's yet another example of Congress putting its faith somewhere besides with Trump.

On ABC's This Week, host George Stephanopoulos highlighted Donald Trump's personal lawyer Jay Sekulow unequivocally saying Trump did not have a role in crafting the misleading statement put out by Donald Trump Jr. regarding his private meeting with Russian operatives. The first attorney he retained to lead his legal team, Marc Kasowitz, was his longtime personal lawyer from his NY real-estate days, and he responded as if former F.B.I. director James Comey's sworn Senate testimony was just another meritless claim he could dismiss with a cease-and-desist letter. First, he told the New York Times it was about adoptions. "Now, whether that prejudices them in one way or another remains to be seen, but it is relevant information for people to have", Conway told "Fox and Friends" in July. As Axios reported on Monday, the messaging seems to have shifted from furiously denying all wrongdoing to the "more sustainable position that the President did nothing wrong", as well as dialing back attacks on Attorney General Jeff Sessions.

She said she was not changing the topic from Russian Federation, adding "let's talk about credibility that impacts people.those were big lies". "I don't believe the investigation is a witch hunt", Tillis said. Even the most cynical person has to acknowledge that would be an extraordinary conspiracy the likes of which the United States has never seen. "What is this investigation really about?"

The Trump White House may have new discipline, thanks to Chief of Staff John Kelly.

But with each passing day, it's increasingly clear this investigation is neither made up nor built on fake news.
