Knicks hire Barack Obama's brother-in-law Craig Robinson for front office gig

It's the next step in the Knicks' attempt to move past former team prez Phil Jackson. who was sacked in June.

Yahoo's The Vertical was the first to report on the hire Monday. He was a vice president with the Milwaukee Bucks past year season.

Robinson, 55, will have a role handling player development and take on the responsibilities of the Knicks' G-League team in Westchester.

Robinson played alongside Mills at the University of Princeton. Robinson has coaching and executive experience on the college and professional levels.

Robinson has also held positions as head coach for the Brown Bears and Oregon State Beavers, and as assistant coach for the Northwestern Wildcats.

According to Charania, Robinson's job will be multi-faceted, taking on various different responsibilities in NY.
